You may already know…

Were you ever enchanted by a blanket of mist
Becoming a part of the ancient world
Just for a moment?

Have you ever envied the scarlet rose
Standing proud with diamonds of dew
Perfectly draped about her?

Were you witness to the duel in the realms of the heavens,
Where each contestant lashes out with brilliant sword
Causing the very earth to tremble beneath?

Have you felt so insignificant against the spectrum of light,
With a backdrop of dark thunderclouds,
While listening to the cracking thunder striking deep into the soul?

Have you smelt the burning pine,
Seen flames exposing rubies in the wine,
Perfect in their ancient, silent dance?

Has tranquility reached your deepest being,
When crimson rays reflect
Off water, into your soul?

Have you tasted the lips of the one you love,
Experienced the quiver –
The desire to forever be one, and never apart?

Then, dear friend, you know the meaning of life.

its been awhile since i wrote a poem let me know what you think or even your experiences reading it.

song: Everything – Michael Bublé

today’s fetured article….

to my surprise it was Aikido!

one thing i miss about being out of school is aikido i studied it for almost 5 years. to this day i still do the breathing exercises every morning i learned as well as some of the stretching. they help me wake =P give me energy it is also very relaxing.

aikido mean alot to me too bad i cant study it here where im at, there are no dojos. also its sad that im told that my knee is starting to show signs of severe arthritis, it hurts like hell almost every day it sucks, it hurts the mostly going up stairs . he also said that in the future it could turn to Rheumatoid arthritis which runs in my family.

thats why i try to do my aikido stretches and breathing exercises to prevent that from happening if i can i know its a long shot but who knows maybe it will help.

some kind of plague…

ok maybe not the plague. This is more a head cold/stuffed sinuses/blinding headpain which keeps me from wanting to drive anywhere, or operate machinery…

There is nothing more fun and rewarding then getting a head cold. It’s just one of those things that I always think about with giddy anticipation every time I go searching for this year’s winter coat in january. You know, as I flip through the coats on the rack I just start to day dream about the intense heat, the throbbing pain of sinuses coupled by the frustration of the hot and humid air around you. Then there is that desire just to put my head into a gigantic pair of vice grips and apply a counter-pressure to make it all go away…

OK, I don’t really go shopping for coats every year.

I also don’t look forward to what I’m going through right now with one hell of a head cold. This is the type of thing I’d never wish on someone else, so I can’t figure out why the hell I got nabbed by it. I’m pretty sure my kharma was running pretty well lately. I do favors for people and don’t ask for anything in return… I just don’t get it. Why have I been stricken with painful sinus, sore throat, and the inability to fall back asleep at 4 AM in the morning (probably because the cold is kicking my ass so much that I went to bed at 9 PM)?

I am convinced of one thing right now though: these cold strains are getting more and more powerful. I think that man has made a mistake in not focusing more attention on the “cure for the common cold.” Why? Because I think the “common cold” is getting stronger and stronger with each mutation and it is leading to something very dangerous. Granted I am getting older and older every year and it could just be that my immune system is less resistant to the effects of the common cold and that’s why it seems worse (or I’m just getting to be a bigger and bigger whimp).

sleepless nights – movie reviews

ok its 1:30 in the morning and again im sitting awake … i cant sleep and not sure why… so i decided to watch a movie and here is my review

<img src=”

A decent college comedy Sydney White The main star of this movie is Amanda Bynes without any doubts, but you can expect more familiar faces from other teenage-oriented movies. It’s not about fraternity as usual in this kind of comedies, but about a sorority instead. it’s nothing extra, but pretty much entertaining comedy which will give you few good laughs.
This modern retelling of the classic fairytale follows a beautiful college freshman as she pledges her late mother’s once dignified sorority. But after discovering that today’s sisterhood is not what it used to be, Sydney finds her new home away from home with seven outcasts. With the help of her socially challenged new friends, Sydney will take on the reigning campus queen to attempt to transform the school’s misguided social hierarchy

can you hear it?

[MEDIA=7]

i can hear it!!

if you are over the age of 20 you arnt suppose to be able to hear the tone

its called the mosquito ringtone or Teen Buzz

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito_Ringtone

The principle behind Teen Buzz is a biological reality that audiologists can refer to as presbycusis, or aging ear. Starting at around age 20, scientists say, the human ear loses its ability to hear tones in the highest human-range frequencies (18-20 kHz), and as one ages, it becomes more difficult to detect these sounds.

My Bad Ass Enchiladas

thats right they are so bad ass i have to share them …

INGREDIENTS

* 3 pounds beef chuck roast
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 1/2 cups beef broth
* 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
* 2 tablespoons chili powder
* 1 tablespoon ground cumin
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chile peppers
* 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
* 2 cups sour cream
* 3 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
* 1 cup oil for frying
* 20 (6 inch) corn tortillas

DIRECTIONS

1. Place roast in a large saucepan that has a tight-fitting lid. Pour in water, cover, and simmer on low for 30 minutes. Increase heat to medium/high, and brown the roast on all sides. Once the water has boiled away, pour in the beef broth, vinegar, chili powder and 1 tablespoon of cumin. Cover tightly and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the beef falls apart when you try to pick it up. Shred the beef, using 2 forks or your fingers. Place shredded beef back into the saucepan with all the juices, and let cool to room temperature.

2. In a large skillet, saute the onion until just soft, not browned. Mix in flour and green chilies. Stir constantly for 2 minutes to cook the flour taste out. Stir in sour cream and 2 cups of Monterey Jack cheese. Cook on low for 10 minutes, stirring often, until the cheese is all melted and mixed. Set aside and let cool.

3. In a large heavy skillet, heat the olive oil. Using tongs dip the tortillas, one at a time, into the oil for 30 seconds each side. Drain on paper towels.

4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spread 4 tablespoons of sour cream mixture down the center of the tortilla. Top with about the same amount of beef. Roll up and place seam side down in one or two 8×11 inch baking dish. Repeat for each tortilla. Continue until you are out of the filling. Sprinkle with remaining Monterey Jack cheese.

5. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
