well i dont know how many ppl ever watch tech tv before it became G4 tv. tech tv was one of my favortie channels to watch because of the show “The Screen Savers.” a show about technology it rocked but sadly when G4 came along tech tv was no longer tech tv. G4 turned the station into a gaming ststion which is kewl and all but it just lost its flavor if i want to know about games i go to IGN the only place you need to go.
well i came across this site http://www.twit.tv and its a site created by those who use to do “The Screen Savers.” check them out its awesome.
just a pic i wanted to share

tahts right if you have an email address thats is a [.edu] from school you may be eligible for free music downloads for this site check it out
sound to good to be true doesnt it? … well it is. oh you can download free music, but you have to use the “ruckus” player to listen to them and the DRM that is on it will not allow you to burn the music to cds. you can put this “music” on a portable device, but it has to be certified to work with ruckus and it allows you to play it until the license expires then you have re-download that license and re-sync it to your portable device.
its a nice concept, but for me its too much work for “free music” its easier to just buy the cd rip it to your pc and then you dont have to worry about DRM. or, even better, its even easier to just pirate the music. DRM is only hurting the consumer and the artist no one want DRM riddle products that may or may not work. it limits the ability for the consumer to use and enjoy the product they paid for. i mean look at it this way: you buy a steak knife you can only use it three times after that it become so dull you have to throw it away and buy a new one. doesnt sound like a very good deal does it?
matt had a great post about DRM you should check it out here
well as many of you know i play the oh so awesome game Guild Wars well ive found a way to take on a creature called a “Sand Drake” something you normally cant take on by yourself well i have a set up that allows for we to do that.

as some of you may know and some may not my poor car has been having some issues. well after today that is no longer i took her into the shop for a tune up. $125 later she is running like new. A friend of mine says that i need to just get a new car …well i plan on doing that after this one is paid off but i’m not going ot get rid of this car for several reasons.
1) this is a great car for 5 years and shes still running strong nothing major has gone wrong with it the most ive spent was $400 and that was for 4 tires 4 years ago. the $125 i spent today was for a tune up an oil change and labor. i bought 2 new tires for the front right before winter that was $160 also i’ve had to replace the alternator $215. so over the last 5 years all ive spent to keep this car running is a total of $900 dollars. also note: this does not count the normal oil change every 3000 miles only the major times ive had it in the shop.
2) this car is no longer being made its a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero the first model ever made that came with the LD9 twin cam 2.4 Quad 4 engine variant. The LD9 Twin Cam was a 2.4 L Quad 4 variant with balance shafts, debuting in 1996. Bore was decreased from 92 mm to 90 mm and stroke increased from 85 mm to 94 mm for better torque, and power was increased to 150 hp (112 kW). This engine received a minor update halfway through the 1999 model year that eliminated the EGR, increased the compression ratio from 9.5:1 to 9.7:1, and switched from low impedance fuel injectors to high impedance. if that make sense you understand if not all you need to know that this engine rocks and it only appeared in the Alero from 1999 to 2001.
3) someday this car will be worth money.
there you go my three reasons Ill never get rid of this car.
