Many of you know im a gamer i love to play video games one of them especially Guild Wars its addicting. =P

well i was going through my hundreds of screen shots and found that my ranger has evolved since the beginning 22 months ago there has been 6 major changes my character has gone through and id like to share some of my experiences playing Guild Wars.

1st some ranger lore

And it was that a tribe of godless humans wandered the land. Where camped did they lay waste, senselessly destroying everything nearby.

And so the tribe set out to find another camp, when suddenly sprouted a wall of thorny branches, which blocked their exit.

Then saith Ewan, leader of the tribe, Know ye our ways. Whosoever does magic in this tribe shall be put to death.

Yet none comes forward. Then, from the earth grows forth a large tree, and unfurling its branches, reveals the upper torso of a woman. Saith She, I am Melandru, Mother of earth and nature. Henceforth I bind ye to these lands. When they suffer, so shall ye suffer.

In the beginning unlike most ppl since i had a chance to Beta test this game when it was officially release i got to choose if i wanted to start over in the “fluffy lands” or continue to the post-searing events. and so you see here this was my lvl 1 ranger

the formation of the sour grapes my first guild in the game was called the “Sour Grapes” it was a bunch of friends i know that started the play the game and we formed a guild that way we could play together when we were online

but guilds can fall apart after a while our guild got into a stupid argument about the design and color of our guild cape (a stupid thing to argue about) and the guild disbanded and my character was stuck in the desert area for awhile so i went on hiatus from the game Guild Wars for a few months to pursue a different game Everquest 2

The new guild SoW a little while after EQ2 was getting old i went back to Guild Wars again and help start the second guild The Slayers of Worlds a few of my friends from the previous guild wanted another guild so we started SoW

But it didnt last long this guild, Sow, was doing great it had grown to a small guild, but the members quit playing after awhile and the numbers dwindled to 4 ppl which is still who currently are the only members myself, my brother, matt, and andrea are all that make up SoW now and things kinda slowed down again for me and i went to a different game Battlefield 2 and also back to EQ2

then came along a new hope a new expansion was going to be released and as a previous beta tester i get to beta test all the new and upcoming expansions. Night Fall was released and they introduced some nice new features and game play that interested me. and got me back into playing again. then i was introduced to the ways of farming NPC monsters and elite skill hunting and just introduced me to why i was playing the game in the first place because its fun. the pictures i have linked start at the beginning and go to the current status of my character who will soon go through another armor set change as soon as i’m able to save enough “gold” in game for it. =P

so there you have it my characters history and my exprience playing Guild Wars (my alternate universe)
