time for every thing…..

Ecclesiastes 3 1-8 (KJV)

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I read a passage today, normally I don’t really express my beliefs on my blog, but today is going to be different. I was reading my bible this morning and I was in Ecclesiastes. every one complains about not having enough time to do anything anymore; I know I’m one of those people. I get so wound up busy doing stuff, mostly work, that I forget to just sit down and thank the lord for the day time he has given me. He reminded me this morning that there is time for everything!

  1. Very true. God may push you to the limit but won’t put more on your plate than you can handle. At the same time though, He doesn’t place value on our worldly desires. And more often than not we can’t do God’s work and expect to have time left to stock up on “stuffs”. But through doing His work all things will be provided for our happiness.

    I’m not the best at it, and I probably take on more than I can handle a lot of times, but passages like this are good to remind me what’s really important. Thanks.

  2. good for you biebs. how ironic i’m reading Ecclesiastes too. I just read that passage last week. I have to tell myself that all the time. especially when the job situation sux.
